I’m Rudolf. I started out as a classical player at the Liszt Academy in Budapest, which feels like a long time ago now. These days I’m more likely to be on a finca terrace at sunset than in a concert hall, and to be honest I don’t miss the concert halls much.
Most of the couples I play for come over from the UK or Ireland. They’ve usually never seen the venue in person until the week of the wedding, so I try to make my part the easy bit.
The ceremony is my favourite part, if I’m honest. Then there’s the drinks, where I keep it in the background so people can actually talk. And later on, when the DJ puts on something everyone knows and I join in on top, it gets loud. Good loud.
You don’t have to know anything about music. Tell me a few songs you like (and a few you really don’t) and I’ll take it from there.

WEDDINGS
You can have me for just the ceremony, or the whole day. Quite a lot of couples book the ceremony and drinks first and then message me a few weeks later asking if I can stay for the party too. LUXURY EVENTS
Villa parties, beach clubs, boats, company dinners in Palma. It works a bit like a wedding really. I stay quiet while people are chatting and then turn it up when the mood changes. I bring my own sound and I’m always there early.
SAX + DJ
If you book the DJ and me together, you don’t have to deal with two different suppliers. You get the DJ set, the live sax, speakers, a wireless mic for the speeches and some party lights. It’s honestly the simplest option, and most of my party bookings end up going this way.

Mallorca saxophonist with LED Light Sax
I’ve also got a saxophone with LED lights on it. I usually bring it out once it’s dark, because that’s when it looks best. The lights move with the music and it looks great on video, people always seem to film it.
It doesn’t change the sound at all. If you’d rather I stick to the normal sax, no problem. Or ask me and I’ll tell you what I think would suit your venue.
Planning your wedding in Mallorca from abroad
Planning a wedding somewhere you can’t just pop over to is hard work, I know. Most of my couples do everything by email or WhatsApp from home, and that’s fine with me. Send me your date, the venue and roughly how you see the day going. I’ll get back to you, normally within a day, with whether I’m free and what it would cost. The price I give you is the price, nothing gets added later.
Questions couples usually ask me
How much does a wedding saxophonist cost in Mallorca?
It really depends on the hours and whether you want the DJ as well. I’d rather not put a number here that’s wrong for you. Send me your plan and you’ll get an exact quote.
Can you play the ceremony and the party?
Yes, and most people book exactly that. We go through the timings together before the day so I know when to keep it quiet and when to go for it.
Do we need to sort out sound equipment?
If you book Sax + DJ, no, I bring everything. If it’s only sax for the ceremony, I’ll tell you what I need from the venue, which usually isn’t much.
How early should we book?
If it’s between May and September, I’d book as soon as you’ve got the date. Summer Saturdays go quickly.
What about villas or fincas outside Palma?
That’s fine. I play all over the island, so just tell me where it is.
What kind of music do you play?
Calm jazz and acoustic pop for the ceremony and drinks, and house and dance stuff for the party. But I’d much rather hear what you two actually like. If you want a feel for it first, here are some videos of me playing at weddings.
Where I play in Mallorca
I’ve played weddings pretty much all over the island by now. Palma, Port Adriano, Portals, up in the mountains in Sóller and Deià, Pollença and Alcúdia in the north, Manacor and the little coves near Porto Cristo in the east. And plenty of places in between.
Every venue is a bit different. Some terraces swallow the sound, some echo. The sun sets in a different spot. Sometimes the ceremony is a long walk from where you can park. You pick these things up after a while.

If you’ve got a planner, I can sort the details out with them directly, like what time I arrive, where I set up and the running order. It’s one less thing for you to chase in the last few weeks.
